Naturally there are too few bumblebees (Bombus) and they fly too late in
the year.  To replace honeybees for pollination in general, artificially
bred bumblebees in large numbers would have to be used.

Actually, Melamine additives weren't an attempt to "cull" (wouldn't be
effective anyway), but a typical example of the fraudulent profit
maximization that "Free" Trade evokes.

Why are you so obsessed with the "genetic" theme?  Blaming greed on genes
is highly problematic and not necessary.  Whether sociopathic greed is a
cultural or a genetic aberration -- what matters is that society finally
stops rewarding the greedheads with ever bigger profits and power, but
starts punishing them and removing them from power.
