Reminds me of the farmer with a cow:
Well, neighbor, I never could figger why I had to be feeding my
cow so much feed just to get a few gallons of milk.
So I put my thinking cap on and come up with a plan: Every day I
cut back the old girl's feed by a pound or so. And before long
things was really looking good. I was gettin' my milk for no feed
at all!
Then the damn cow up an' died on me. She never done *that*
before.
