Genuine government does the fire service by itself, funded by taxes,
not personal fees.  An idiot mayor funds it by personal fees, and hires
a few yahoos who let the house burn down if you didn't pay your fee.

It costs a lot to change a fire service.  How do you prevent bribing?
And who knows which other company is better (and that it isn't worse),
and how many deaths do you accept to find out?
