Exactly. The observation that individuals with abundant food supply from inception* on grow larger than those who grew up under starvation conditions, is pretty much trivial, and doesn't require --nor justify-- wasting research funds for genetic tinkering "research". * The mother's nutritional status impacts the embryo's development, even if one leaves the mother's genes aside. And malnutrition of the mother leads to "construction flaws" (also genetic) of her babies. But this can and should be fixed by improving nutrition (and the knowledge for this is already here!), NOT by applying/developing Dr.Mengele-style genetic tinkering! It is outright absurd and an insult to readers' intelligence that the same corporations who push this genetic tinkering PR are those who are responsible for the junk food MALNUTRITION even in this age of abundance, and making ever-bigger profits with Big Pharma band-aid drugs for these artificial, avoidable "civilizational" illnesses such as type2-diabetes. This shows that they're not interested in public health at all, but on the contrary, they push a genocidal agenda, just like with the concept of "species divide", which logically will lead to genocide of the "lower" branch of that divide. The goal is to get rid of the "unprofitable" masses by culling them with junk and toxins, while perfecting the health (also with genetic tinkering) of the few rich and their selected peasants "bred for maximum performance (RoI)". Keith knows that he will be dead anyway before this Soylent Green society develops, but is this really the kind of society that he wishes for his offspring?
