My recollections (from the early 60s) are that a disproportionate
fraction of psychology students then appeared to me to have majored in
psychology in order to address the question, "Why am I so screwed
up?", an arguably more-narcissistic-than-average perspective.

Had the authors compared the biz majors to those majoring in, say,
marine biology, linguistics or polymer chemistry, would the disparity
have been even greater?
