Do coin-op pay toilets still exist? Last time I saw them might have
been in, oh, early 60s in Penn Station or Grand Central.
So, who's missing out on selling heavily armored dispensers that will
emit sheets only if a credit/debit card is inserted or an RFID card is
in range? Or do they exist already? I haven't been in NYC since
1968.
Straying way off topic here, I've enjoyed ridiculing the "conceptual
art" movement. I confess to having created a conceptual piece in an
attempt at satire, a US dime mounted under glass in a frame, with a
small cast iron fire-alarm hammer attached, entitled "New York Can
Opener". Signed by the artist, collectors may submit their bids by
email. ;-)
