Um, more research to discover what?  The article covers it pretty
well.  

It's a little light on details of the privatized "prison industry" --
failing to name individual corporations, executives or political
supporters. 

Once prisons are private, any move to reduce or restructure sentencing
or, say, (bite my tongue, eh?)  decriminalize marijuana will lead to
charges of tortious interference with trade. [1]

Forcing convicts to work for risible wages or none at all confirms a
lesson that many convicts already have mastered: that the American Way

suggestion irony and I'm just a tad slow?
