I read this article. Brooks is always about government can't do what the private sector can. That's nonsense. Incompetence is no respecter of systems or people. Competence takes time. It will take a number of years before the public/private thing is figured out. The question of the design of large systems is at the root of it. I've brought that up several times here to a deafening silence from everyone. You don't believe it, or you don't understand?
