Thomas Mulcair is one helluva brave politician, walking around the Alberta oil 
sands and elsewhere in that province without a suit of armor or at least a 
bullet proof vest.  I spent three years in the oil patch in Calgary in the late 
1970s and early 1980s.  Had Trudeau shown up there at the time he surely would 
have been shot!  So far they haven't taken a shot at Mulcair, but then I guess 
he isn't in a position to launch an National Energy Program or Petroleum 
Incentives Program, at least not yet.
