I will go with Cheer Up, longer days and let those who wish to worry, well
there is lots to worry about.

Isn't also the end of the world, according to the Mayan calendar? Somehow,
I don't feel very cheerful.

December 21 marks the shortest day of the year. After that the days will be
getting longer. (albeit colder).

The Solstice is probably the basis for a number of religious holidays but
religion aside, just think after that day there will be more light each
day. Something to celebrate.

So cheer up.
