At 375 pages, I haven't read it all yet but browsing the opening paragraphs
pf several chapters, I think it may be worth reading the whole thing.

Part, I gather, of the Aaron Schwarz trove from JSTOR.  It has vexed me for
some time that serious academic papers [1] on the net are so often behind
pay walls at JSTOR, Elsevier and the like.

[1] Someone remarked that it was too bad that Schwarz downloaded so
    many articles as only 10% of them were really of any value.  Seen
    in passing, I forget who Someone was.
