I wrote Steve and the list about the 1960 book, "The Decline of Pleasure" and its analysis of Utilitarianism by the NYTimes Theater Critic Walter Kerr. That went nowhere and I can't remember anyone bothering to comment on such things said by "whomever."
However, here is a second TED lecture by someone who is authentically smart. He has a Sir in front of his name and he changed my mind about aristocracy. This is a lecture to the Royal Society of the Arts (RSA). Sir Ken Robinson, the speaker, would be a good member for this list. He lives in California. Anyone know his e-mail address?
