I had the occasion to watch Mr. Obama the other night at a press conference 
after his visit in Sweden… The first question he was asked was concerning the 
NSA/Snowden revelations.  It was about the saddest thing I've ever watched on 
TV… Obama was clearly  lying through his teeth, he knew he was lying and that 
in the next days his lies would be soundly revealed and he knew that anyone 
informed on these subjects at all would know that he was lying and that in 
doing this he would be forefeiting forever any legacy or even legitimacy he 
would have as President; but still for whatever reason (and that too is 
something to be thinking about) he went on…

 

There is I think a real possibility that the Syria is meant as a diversion from 
the real crisis in the US at the moment which has to do with the crisis of 
legitimacy/trustworthiness of the Internet and the hopes/plan/expectations for 
global dominance which have gone with this and which seem in the process of 
going up in smoke.
