Shall I make a funny about "Arbeit macht Frei" and the Liebestod of
concentration camps and Indian reservations? (google Bosque Redondo)
Humor turns the principle of logic and reason on its head but it can also be
used to hurt and that's abuse. Humor is sacr-ed, which means that the
comic needs to be willing to be sacri-ficed on the stage (altar, raised
place, etc.) of life if they are to deserve the name.

It's a "touchy feely" thing. The battle between people of the body
(druids and artists) and people of the religious corporation in Britain
still rages. In the "New World" its form is found in Libertarian versus
Government. In Europe its assumptions are "founding principles" from the
three Abrahamic religions.

I did a conference on Religion and Violence a few years ago and was the
Native American representative with a lot of heavy hitters from the Catholic
Church, Sarah Lawrence College Buddhists, a Hindu MD from Albert Einstein
Medical School and the editor for the local Palestinian newspaper and a
Rabbi from Hartford. Both Muslim and Jewish representatives stayed away
until their time to talk and so they didn't know I was there, (I spoke
earlier). In their talks both were insulting to the peoples of Forest
and Agricultural Technology (Pagans i.e. people of the forest) The Hindu
MD also made her speech and left before she was asked anything or had to
listen to anyone else.

I think, as a result of their rudeness, I was asked to lead the closing
ceremonial and the Muslim left while the Rabbi, who stayed, was surprised
that my song contained names for God that he recognized as Hebrew, but they
weren't. They were ours. The Jewish and Islamic representatives were
not the only issue of course. The Christians had a problem of attitude
as well. The Catholic Systematic Theologian gave a brutal talk about the
RCC's historical treatment of us. His honesty was both admirable and
dramatic, even confessional. I asked if he would give me a written copy
and he said no. He wouldn't put it in writing. Kind of like the GOP
and Obama, they only thing they write down are the prevarications.

That's why the Kogi from Columbia call all Europeans: "Little Brother."
(see Wade Davis if you don't believe me.) In return the Euro-American
immigrants call the Koge "Coke-heads" because of the medicinal use of the
Coca plant for the altitude where they live. Would it not be better for all
concerned to just suspend our assumptions and be "In-spira-tional" as in
perform an "observe your breath and go into silence" meditation (prayer).
I suspect the words I used preclude that from happening. Words are tough
to get around.
