How about organic gardening to benefit the society paying for his
incarceration? I think that constructive work should be mandatory. 99% can't
afford horseback riding!

GENEVA – The gruesome murder of a 39-year-old prison sociotherapist has
riveted Switzerland, with the arrest over the weekend of a convicted rapist
who the victim had been treating with the help of horse-riding therapy.

The body Adeline M., mother of an eight-month child, had been found tied to
a tree on Friday morning with her throat slit. The victim had been missing
for the previous 24 hours after she had been scheduled to take a prisoner to
a horse-riding center, as part of his therapy, Swiss newspaper

On Sunday, French-Swiss citizen Fabrice Anthamatten was arrested in Poland,
near the German border, after a four-day manhunt according to Swiss
newspaper Tribune de Genève
<http://www.tdg.ch/geneve/actu-genevoise/meurtrier-presume-adeline-interpell
e/story/13907112> . Anthamatten was serving a 20-year sentence for rape in a
facility near Geneva, where his treatment included horse-riding.

The two were last seen shopping before going to the horse-riding center,
reports French daily

Anthamatten had a list of three items, which included a knife to clean the
horse's hooves, that had been approved by three people at the facility.
Police say he used the same knife to kill Adeline M.

The case has sparked public outrage in Switzerland, where activists have
called for the creation of a centralized register of sex offenders, who
would remain on the list even after having served their sentence.
