How do the workers on strike survive?
The first two weeks their union is paying them, most workers get only
about 200 US dollars per week the first weeks on strike, and that is
only a fraction of their usual wage, but if the strike lasts more than
two weeks the Confederation of Trade Unions - LO - will begin to tax the
members who are not on strike to give the workers on strike a more
normal income.
