The following. very readable article concerning the closed code culture of
MS operating systems, illustrates the two pivotal features of capitalism:

    - private ownership of the factors of production

(which requires secrecy and force to maintain that position)

and

    - use of those privately owned resources for privately received profit

(which simply adds gasoline to the fire of the coercive society)

The solutions?

Convert a culture of ownership into one of stewardship

Convert the culture of accumulation into one of de-accumulation

A poem:

    Possessions possess

    Pride becomes proud

    Humility humbles

    Love loves

    God is

Another:

    Love is not

    What

    You get

    Love is

    What

    You give

>>"I Love You" and the Problem of Cyberwarfare
>>
>>Summary
>>
>>Last week, officials from the government and the computer industry
>>gathered in the wake of the massive denial of service attacks
>>against commercial web sites and the outbreak of the "I Love You"
>>virus. The real problem the United States and much of the world
>>faces is that people are overwhelmingly dependent upon a single
>>computer operating system that is exceedingly vulnerable to even
>>simple attacks. The PC and the Internet have become indispensable -
>>while remaining indefensible.
