Please be assured that this is not SPAM. You are receiving this e-
mail because you have communicated with Five E's Unlimited sometime
in the past or have been a subscriber to our very popular free, on-
line newsletter SUSTAINABILITY REVIEW. We apologize if this is
incorrect.

In the mailing of our most recent Issue of SUSTAINABILITY REVIEW
(#19) on 15 May 2000, something went very wrong with our Local
Service Provider's (LSP) mail list management software (Majordomo),
which up until now we had been successfully using for mailing 19
Issues of the newsletter. As a consequence two things occurred.
Multiple copies of Issue #19 were mailed to subscribers and several
other mail lists that we maintain for purposes of information
sharing were merged in the server records of our LSP with our opt-
in newsletter mail list. That means that your e-mail address may
now be mixed in with our subscriber-only mail list that regularly
receives SUSTAINABILITY REVIEW on a bi-weekly basis.

First, I want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this
might have caused.

Second, I want to tell you what Five E's Unlimited is doing as the
publisher of SUSTAINABILITY REVIEW to reassure you this will not
happen again.

Because of the popularity of SUSTAINABILITY REVIEW (almost 3,000
subscribers from 82 different countries), this glitch has been a
wake-up call for us and convinced us that we need to contract with
a responsible firm (of which there are many) to begin handling the
mailing of this newsletter as a totally separate venture.
Therefore, over the next several weeks I will be investigating
other options to continue a more secure and problem-free means of
maintaining our bi-weekly newsletter service.

Although free, you must subscribe to receive this very popular
publication. If you are not a subscriber presently and want to
make sure that your address has not mistakenly merged with our opt-
in newsletter mail list, please just send a return on this e-mail
message with "UNSUBSCRIBE" in the subject line of the e-mail.

If you are not presently a subscriber, however, and wish TO
SUBSCRIBE, just take one of the following actions below and you
will become a participant in a quickly growing means of
disseminating the most current information on ideas, tools, and
success stories involving people, places, and organizations
attempting to achieve sustainable development -- the linking of
economic, environmental, and social equity actions into successful
programs for enhanced community development.

  1) Simply do a return on this message with "SUBSCRIBE" in the
     Subject Line.

  2) go to web site at http://www.eeeee.net and click on the
"Sustainability Review" subscription page to fill out a
     subscription form for immediate submittal.

  3) send a blank e-mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with

"SUBSCRIBE" typed in the Subject Line

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
Please be assured that we are working very hard now to sort out all
the confusion and guarantee that you will not receive any more
mailings from us, unless you request them.

For your information, previous Issues (1-19) of SUSTAINABILITY
REVIEW are archived and can be read at www.eeeee.net/ee02000.htm.
These Issues cover such diverse topics as population and global
consumption rates, alternative energy sources, watershed and
coastal zone management, sustainable community development
examples, neighborhood greening, sustainability education,
ecology/economy parallels, and fiscal incentives to encourage
sustainability.
