I appreciate your efforts under difficult circumstances.
I've tried to follow your reply, but some of it -- particularly as it
deals with the invisible effects of taxation -- goes beyond my ken.
No matter. There others who do understand, I'm sure, and I will
learn.
I wanted to thank Tom Lowe for his timely intervention as well,
and I tried to do so. His article was helpful to me and may even
stimulate your own thinking when it becomes accessible to you. As
for your supposition about the G8, what can I say: you're
clairvoyant.
But it has been a day of misbehaving systems on both sides of the
Pond, I'm afraid. So, if there is more to come from you, and I hope
there will be, I write to say cut my words as savagely as you
please. Otherwise your own may be obscured by text everyone has
already seen. Please don't let that happen.
