There is a very interesting article in The Boston Globe Magazine section
of last Sunday (1/13) about a number of female economists who are
proposing some radical views of the way contemporary economics misses
the boat because it ignores the need for paying care-workers (of
children and the elderly, e.g.) more and it ignores the fact that many
people work at these professions for more than or other than monetary
reasons.
