Hello from New Zealand

A friend who is a feature writer for a major New Zealand
newspaper is soon to travel (18 Feb to 9 April) to Queensland,
Singapore, Taiwan, Silicon Valley (California), Ireland, Denmark
and Israel ... to look at how they are responding to the
challenges of the "knowledge economy".

These places have been picked on the basis that most of them
are similar sizes to NZ and mostly with similar agricultural
backgrounds.

The feature article series (to be published in May) will be on
how these countries are fostering the 'knowledge society',
entrepreneurship, investment and other factors in economic
growth.

However, as a subsidiary theme running through the series, the
journalist would like to incorporate some alternative
perspectives that might question the fairness and sustainability
of some of the paths these countries have taken.

If any members of this "futurework" network would like
recommend people in these countries who would be in a good
position to express these alternative perspectives, (ideally with
contact numbers and email addresses) please contact me
seperately at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
