One would not expect schools to teach the truth [what Enzo Paci
calls: "The meaning of truth"...], but rather 
to teach "true propositions" as red [but, of course, not
Communist] herrings.  Never lie when a surreptitiously decontextualized
truth will accomplish the same purpose better.

In general, I cannot understand and do not enjoy structuralist/ 
post-structuralist/postmodernist texts.  But Foucault's 
_Discipline and Punish_ is an exception, and, even in translation,
parts of it -- like Foucault's description of the last public execution
in France (and, of course, Bentham's Panopticon...) -- "sing".
