About this planet. Note that I said "(direct-)democratic nation state". This excludes about every country on this planet today. Even here in Switzerland, neoliberal manipulations have reduced democracy to a large extent. Just to show his true colors, the neoliberal economist Walter Wittmann proposed the abolition of direct democracy in Switzerland "because it's bad for business" ! Fortunately, this guy emigrated to Canada a few years ago... (unfortunately for Canadians..) But still, there are various degrees of (lack of) democracy, and the less democracy there is, the larger is the difference between fat cats and "poor masses" in a country. Chris
