I then turned to my morning papers to read that Enron now faces bankruptcy.
This supplied 25% of energy in the US and was the largest supplier in
Europe. It's not a monopoly to the same degree as Microsoft and, probably,
its accounts were never sound from day 1, but nevertheless it's another
example of the vulnerability of the largest corporations.
