I'm sending my congratulations to Sally and Arthur for 7 years of FW, 5 years of which I had the pleasure to read and contribute to the list.
On a list named FutureWork, I think it's indispensable to have progressive voices who debunk the PR from sources like The Economist, Fin.Times, NYT etc. OTOH it's also interesting and thought-provoking to see "first-hand" the workings in minds of opposite views, and to interact with them. A propos, I have to correct Keith's assessment directed at me, that... > some, > who already know the answers, confine themselves to the easy path of always > criticising others and never putting up a case of their own because it > might be criticised in turn; I do not just criticise, but also provide alternative solutions (unlike Keith who just recommends more of the same -- privatization), and it's a pity that when I do, Keith ignores it because it doesn't fit into his TINA ideology. Also, I did put up many cases of my own, and not only these cases, but also my replies to others, are of course open to criticism. When reading some of Keith's messages, I'm starting to wonder what kind of substances are in that famous pot of tea... ;-) Season's greetings to all, Chris
