Christoph,

Here you go again, jumping to wrong conclusions!

When you write:
<<<<
Keith suggesting that the IMF will pull Argentina out of this is like
assigning the gardener's job to the wild boar. Carmen, you better don't
listen to Keith's PR, no matter how sweet and flattering -- you saw in the
Falklands war how well-meaning those sweet-talkers really are.
>>>>

Whatever makes you think that I was in favour of the Malvenas/Falklands War?

In standing against some of the trade unions in Englands who were
destroying many of our industries, I was a supporter of Mrs Thatcher when
she was Prime Minister.

When Thatcher declared war on Argentina over the Malvenas/Falkland Islands
I was strongly against it. Many people in this country were. Or, rather, a
minority of the population were.

And when Thatcher allowed a submarine to torpedo the Belgrano with the loss
of more than 600 Argentinian young lives when, in fact, it was outside the
war zone and travelling away at speed, then I thought this was one of the
most cowardly, vilest acts of any so-called civilised government, even in
the untidy business of warfare.

Once again, only a minority of the population thought the same as me
(probably about 15% I guess). Out of the whole House of Commons (650 MPs),
only two, Tam Dalyell and Wedgewood Benn (strangely, both with parents who
were Lords!) had the courage to speak out against it.

Why don't you stop looking at the world and people in such black-and-white
terms? Reality is much more complicated than you care to imagine.
