The one who's jumping to a wrong conclusion here is Keith.
I didn't say that I think he was in favor of the Falklands War.
I was merely referring to the fact that British sweet-talkers showed their
true colors on that occasion (as on many occasions throughout history, until
today in Afghanistan and Iraq).  As Keith admits, the majority was in favor
of the war, and he could have added that even the minority who opposed the
war didn't go out of their way to perform protests as they should have done
(cf. Vietnam war protesters in USA).  Also, it borders on schizophrenia to
support/preach imperialism (in the guise of "Free" Trade) and Maggie T. as
he is/was doing, but OTOH to "oppose" a war that is waged in that tradition.
