Just one sidenote which reinforces Brad's interpretation of nature & us: We are not outside of nature; we are a growing (too fast) part of it. It is extremely likely that we will not be the last surving life form on earth. It is also extremely likely that similiar (to us) life forms exist elsewhere/sometime.
