This is in honor of M.L.King, whose birthday is being celebrated today in the US and perhaps other places. Note: since the time of his statement human population has risen by more than 2 Billion, an increase of 50% from the numbers King perceived as already constituting a "plague".
Steve ================================ "Family planning, to relate populaton to world resources, is possible, practical and necessary. Unlike plagues of the dark ages or contemporary diseases we do not yet understand, the modern plague of overpopulation is soluble by means we have discovered and with resources we possess. What is lacking is not sufficient knowledge of the solution, but universal consciousness of the gravity of the problem and education of the billions who are its victims." -Martin Luther King -- http://magma.ca/~gpco/ http://www.scientists4pr.org/ Anyone who believes exponential growth can go on forever in a finite world is either a madman or an economist.--Kenneth Boulding
