I would say: Not surprising, considering that marxism has been
written out of American history, even if not yet altogether
out of Western European "critical theory", e.g., Habermas....
And while employment may not have a future, I anticipate there will be
a lot of it being done for many years to come. The fact that
one day passes into another does not imply that there
is a "future" in an honorific as opposed to taxonomic sense.
