Actually Harry,
I always press Reply All,
The problem is Time Warner, It seems
that the Private Sector has a censor list that is supposed to "Protect"
people from spam. Evidently it
registers some of FW as spam. Of course when my server where I
paid $250 a year switched to phone service and I went to $50 a month for high
speed service from Time Warner DSL Cable, what I got was more cost, no options
to their policies and my mail censored. God bless Private
Enterprise and the un regulated market. Let's see if this get's
through. Then they send me a note asking if I am satisfied
with their "service." This is no way to run a
society. At this point I would advocate a benevolent despot just to
get some work done.

Ray,
I think I mentioned this to someone
else.
Make sure your message is sent to "Reply to all" rather than just
"Reply". Otherwise your message will go to one person instead of to us
all.
I haven't used Outlook Express in a long while, so perhaps others
can offer better advice.
Get it fixed. I have some replies building up
for you!

To the List,
This
morning I recieved six e-mails and I sent one last night that I had put
together after a considerable amount of thought. I have not seen
anywhere near the volumes that George is complaining about from the
list. I also have a serious limitation on my time
but try to write seriously when I do. Yesterday I thought and
worked on a post and put it on the list last night and it seems to have
disappeared. I didn't get a copy back and I didn't get an
overwhelming volume this morning from FW. And I have
had only two remove e-mails. Evidently from what George
says there have been more. So I am wondering if I
am getting all of the mail? I get between three and six posts a
day from FW and I haven't been able to access the FW site to check the
threads. I wonder if people are talking to me and I am not
responding because I don't get the mail? Could you tell me how
much you have been getting and whether you got a post from me sent at 10:28
last night marked RE: ECONOMICs? It did not come back to
me this morning. Also, I am using Outlook
Express with the rich text format. Is any of that a
problem? Ray Evans Harrell [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Observations on Recent Activity on This Listserve
Dear Futurework Folks~ I have *very much*
enjoyed being on this list. Many of the posts have been interesting and timely. In fact, I've learned a great
deal about what's going on and being considered in the world of work, while also being able
to use many of the posts in my "Communication and Quality of Worklife" course. However, in the last
couple of months, the sheer volume of e-mail has become overwhelming. More
importantly, many of
the posts are now reduced to brief comments that are parts of exchanges involving a handful
of people. I think we can fairly infer that these are the reasons for the number of recent REMOVAL
messages by subscribers. May I gently suggest that some of the more frequent
users be a bit more
judicious in trying not to post their every little thought or comment, instead
accumulating comments for longer, more considered posts? Thanks, George
Cheney Professor of
Communication Studies The University of Montana Missoula, Montana 59812 USA P.S.: Please
keep me on the list!
