I agree.
But we need to do it intelligently, as opposed through
a lot of suffering for a lot of the people
being downsized. The Four Horsemen are ready to
do the job -- effectively but not felicitously.
Also, we don't want to do it *too* fast, since the
ratio of the working to the nonworking must be kept
below the level at which the burden on the productive
persons to support the dependent ones becomes
intolerable.
One part of the solution would be to adopt abandoned and
other unfortunate children, rather than producing more
children. Any person who procreates a third child should
divert their eyes in shame when anyone looks
at them.
