Remember when "Made in Japan" took away American jobs --
or at least American workers thought it did?

In today's New York Times (21Apr):

    "Japan Braces for a 'Designed in China' World"

Now Japan is outsourcing not only manufacturing
but also *research and development* to *China*!

    "China is quickly becoming a country of low wage and high tech,"

Now, of course, I have little doubt that -- ars longa vita brevis --,
someday, China will outsource manufacturing, and then R&D, to
some even lower-cost country, and so on, trickle-down
without end, Amen....
