A week ago, I posted here about the Chinese Northern snakehead
fish, which I described as like a Walmart (Enron, etc.).

Today's NYT has an OpEd piece on the same topic:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2002/07/07/opinion/07DOWD.html

The main difference is that Maureen Dowd apparently
is more familiar with some of the *individuals* whom this
remarkable evolutionarily fit survivor most resembles.

Speaking of which, we also read in today's NYT that the
Enron Directors *did* know about the "creative accounting",
after all. It restores your (or at least my...) faith in
humanity -- since I have never forgotten the admonition
someone told me:
never to attribute to malice what can be explained by
simple stupidity.

Thank God tomorrow is Monday (so America can get back to
business)!
