Have any FWers read Localization: A Gobal Manifesto by Colin Hines (London and Sterling, VA:Earthscan Publications, 2000. ISBN 1 85383 612 5)? It's an interesting and quite prescient analysis of the evolution--and current fruits of--globalization, with a detailed plan for replacing current social/political/economic arrangements with "localization".
