There was a science article in the NYT a while back
that said that reptiles were on their way to
evolving into upright bipeds with big brains -- until
that big asteroid "changed everything".
One can
only wonder whether reptilean CEOs would be more
cold-blooded than the nominally mammalian CEOs we
have today??? (Certainly a reptilean philosopher
would not have to been any more mechanistic than
Descartes to provide the ideological underpinning
for a reptilean technocracy.)
