I am intrigued by the sophistication of your analyses of Bush's intentions /
American interests. Like your government, all the deep thinkers apparently
find it too demeaning to remember that the story is not one of what Saudis
were educated in America, of whether or not 'democracy' will win out, but
quite concretely - of how many people's lives (Americans and all those
amorphous Middle Easterners) have to be sacrificed in order to get the oil!

The story for most of us is one of blood - not oil.
