Hi!

I was going to mention "And Then There Was None" - a SF story by Eric Frank
Russell. After the 'Great Explosion' humans were spread throughout the
galaxy. Each planet hosted a bunch of people with a specific philosophy,
or religion. There, they practiced their ideas and built their civilizations.

Now a mighty ship was touring these planets to bring them back into the
arms of mother Earth. (Actually, to make them conform to earth standards,
which were obviously proper,)

I loved this story and to check Russel's name I tried Google. I found the
complete story and enjoyed it again immensely (after 50 years!). You'll
recall my comment that I probably learned all my early philosophy from
science fiction. This was one of the influences.

I think everyone will enjoy Earth's encounter with the Gands.

You'll find it here.
