Personally I'd like to see somebody deconstruct
Mr. Jacques Derrida's HMO card and his paycheck
and all his copyrights.
It's a shame Jacques's old buddy
Paul de Man is dead, since if he was
still alive we could have the Paul and Kenny Boy show,
where they would rip off the audience on the air.
I saw Paul Shrader's new film "Auto Focus" on Sunday,
with a 45 minute Q and A period with Mr. Shrader
afterwards. The film is a fictional exploration of the
life of Bobn Crane (Hogan's Heroes -- whoever they are).
There are many kinds of addicts. Crane was
apparently addicted to risky sex. George Bush
is apparently addicted to regime change in Iraq.
Captain Ahab was addicted to killing Moby Dick.
Where did I find the quote:
The wages of sin is death?
Anyway, on radio, Mr. Crane explains in the film,
the one thing you try to avoid at all costs is:
Dead air. (i.e., broadcasting silence)
This is station WARY, Chappaqua NY....

Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works.... (Matt 5:16)
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (1 Thes 5:21)
