I'm all in favor of politicians becoming
acquainted with real life.
What concerns me is them learning at the
expenss or real persons, like me even if not thee!

The reason to do well in school, etc. is so that when
a war comes, "you" can be patriotic by living in luxury
for the good of the people, rather than being one of the
people in the mud and "cooties" in the trenches. I'd
rather serve "the Queen" as The First Lord of the
Admiralty then as one of the persons over whom he
admirals, although even then, better an officer than
an elisted "man".
To those who have much,
more shall be given.
From those who have little,
what little they have will be taken away.
Now, what does this have to do with politics?
It should be obvious: Better to be a politician than
a member of the electorate.
