It was my pleasure, Joe. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

There are certainly others more qualified in your field of work than I who I
hope will respond to your message. I just have a good analytical eye and a
teacher's mentality, always on the lookout for things that have applicable
value. Using the technology we have already paid for - isn't that the point
of the internet?

Committee of our local accounting institute (a group that includes
representatives from our national telecommunications regulator) and this is
certainly the sort of thing that we constantly run around in circles about -
how to make the Internet a relevant component of development not just in the
accounting profession but for the country as a whole and how we as
professionals can contribute to that utilisation.

I will pass on this article most gratefully. I would add that I chose to say
thanks via the list and not only to you directly in the hope that any list
members who are familiar with other discussion groups or sites dealing with
the role of IT in development (legislation, infastructure, reporting and
control systems, etc) might be able to point me in their direction.
