<<<<< The Saddam Interview: ===================== It's a wee bit chaotic here tonight, so this comes from Martin Fewell, deputy editor. Apologies for the late arrival of the full e-mail. Hope you got the earlier one, advising you that we'll be showing an extended interview with Saddam Hussein at 7:00pm tonight. It was done by Tony Benn on his visit to Iraq at the weekend, and we're still editing away as I write. The key lines, no weapons of mass destruction, no links with al-Qaeda, though he wouldn't be ashamed if there were. America wants world control and needs to control oil in the Middle East to achieve that. Tony Benn will be live in the studio, and we'll be talking about his interview with him and others unimpressed with the Iraqi leader's commitment to peace. Benn webchat: ============= We're hoping Mr Benn will stay for a web-chat about his trip and interview. You can see it anyway at 7:00pm with highlights online at http://www.channel4.com/news shortly afterwards. US reaction to Saddam interview: ================================ Jon Snow is already in New York ahead of Colin Powell's appearance before the UN tomorrow. Fresh from Baghdad, he'll be gauging the impact of Saddam's words amongst the diplomats already gathered there. >>>>> KH ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------ Keith Hudson, General Editor, Handlo Music, http://www.handlo.com 6 Upper Camden Place, Bath BA1 5HX, England Tel: +44 1225 312622; Fax: +44 1225 447727; mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Futurework mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://scribe.uwaterloo.ca/mailman/listinfo/futurework
