Thanks for this wonder full post! Both Sapolsky's anecdote and your own point to a kind of connecting that I would call spiritual. I would, however, take the 'yet' out of the above quote of yours. Science has come to recognize all kinds of invisible 'forces'; alas it seems blind to the most fundamental force of all.
