Good analogy, even to the aspect of "hoarding" the good currency (i.e.
in the old days, Apple's products had such a longuevity that users
rarely needed updates/upgrades (both software and hardware) --
this almost drove Apple out of business, so then it adopted M$'
strategy of frequently changing hardware and OS "standards" so
users have to update/upgrade all the time..).
