Well, in my understandig this is supposed to work. You can try without the modifier variable, like this: Key C A M AA Or, open terminal directly: Key C A M Exec exec xterm Open FvwmConsole (Alt + ; ) and enter above line to check if it works. If it does, you can add it to ~/.fvwm/userconfig file (created it if it doesn't exist).
