I will check the other directories as well. I made a few supplementary icons: Antennas.png is for a category that is not in freedektop spec and I made it in Development/Antennas. It is not in contradiction either with freedesktop specs as a desktop file can provide additional categories with a "X-" prefix. Same thing with Electronics.png and Geda.pmg -> Development/Electronics and Development/Electronics/Geda Electronics can be in every main category according to freedesktop specs. IDE.png is for the Development/IDE, an official freedesktop sub-category. Joined to this mail is a fake file hierarchy that correspond to freedesktop specs. http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html The name in the tarball correspond to the names in the specs, not necessarely to the names as they will appear in FVWM-Crystal (look at the 2 "case" structures in fvwm-crystal-generate-menu for that). fvwm-crystal-generate-menu deal with the additional categories by removing the leading "X-". It can be easily changed in the script in the big "case" statement. Bristol.png is the name of an application, a softsynh that implement 18 different audio synthesisers. It is much better to have a Bristol category in audio/synthesisers/bristol as to have all those synths in audio/synthesisers. Jack.png is for jack subcat in the different audio categories. I will remove it in the next patch because I changed those Jack subcat into Other subcat. I made this to have a way to make the distinction in a category where it is many applications between the alsa and the jack categories. I begun with alsa applications in the subcat, and a jack sub-subcat with the jack applications. But as I have many more jack application as alsa application, I shifted this. So now, it is as example: Multimedia/Audio/Recording with ardour, jack_capture, jamin, timemachine and tkeca.tcl, all jack aware applications, and Multimedia/audio/Recording/Other with audacity, gnome-sound-recorder, gramofile, krecord and krec, all alsa or oss and jack not aware applications. It is also Text_editors.png for Development/Text_editors, and Viewers.png for the different Viewers subcat. help.png and xorg.png are for the help menu for FVWM-Crystal help menu. Maybe at a better place is in icons/Default/nnxnn/fvwm-crystal. Ciao, Dominique
