I hate that behaviour while watching movies, I like when screen is black...
Maybe the better solution would be to use EdgeCommand to manually put the
panel on top, and put it back on bottom, just like it's described in the FVWM
FAQ, or somewhere...

Check out also my repo, I've added a window list useful for debugging
purpuoses (it's available from the developer menu), hope it's useful. Left
click moves your mouse cursor to +0+0 of the selected window, right click
opens small menu.

Any luck with darcs2rss? I'll try to setup it on my repo in a forseeable
future. :)
