This apply to other generated menu as well like the playlist menu. This is a severe fvwm limitation when fvwm functions are dealing with UTF-8 characters into the filenames. By standard, I mean nothing because it is no definitely recognized standard when dealing with filenames. See http://www.dwheeler.com/essays/fixing-unix-linux-filenames.html for a general explanation of this problem. Applied to something like fvwm-menu-directory, this can be a nightmare.
