Fvwm-crystal use a script
(typically /usr/bin/fvwm-crystal.generate-menu) to generate the icons
for the applications. They are used by the application menu, the launch
bar, the notification area, the tittle bar of the windows and for the
iconified windows (depending of the icon type preference).

For the other icons like the media button, crystal provide its own icon
set. Some icons are provided for a few applications, and the
generate-menu script will keep them.

I guess Google-chrome.png. It must work even if you name it
google-chrome.png. For firefox, the icon is provided by crystal and
named firefox.png, the window class is Firefox and it work.

Beside that, I have no other clue than an incorrect path to the icon.
Must be ~/.fvwm-crystal/icons/Default/22x22/apps/iconxxx.png

Or a bug in chrome. Does it work with another wm/desktop? I don't use it
so I can not help. I know applications can replace the tittle bar icon.
As example, with claws-mail, the generate-menu script generate a
claws-mail.png file for the 3 sizes, claws-mail main window use the
22x22 of them, but when writing this mail, I get another icon with a
letter and a pen in the window title bar. The only explanation I have
is that claws-mail provide its own icon and fvwm use it.
