Hi Viktor,

a cursory inspection of the HTML output
shows something isn't quite right. There's a strange character in the
section headings (after the section number).

eg. It looks like "1.,Name" instead of "1. Name".

I can't reproduce this. It seems to be a  , which should be alright.

Something weird is happening & I can't work out what's causing it.

Check out:

On my browser I'm seeing a strange character after the section number.

I think I know what's happening here:
At some point in the process bewtween the generation and the upload to fvwm-web the   entities are expanded to real hard blankspaces in latin-1 encoding. THis encoding is specified in the html header page, however the server specifies the encoding as utf-8 when it serves the page, and that overrides the meta tags. latin-1 hard bankspaces are treated as utf-8, which happens to be an invalid utf-8 sequence, and thus most browsers renders some kind of question mark.

Yet the file I uploaded (to fvwm-web) renders ok.
ie. file:///home/ss/fvwm/fvwm-web/doc/unstable/fvwm/fvwm.man.html

Which is beacause the browser then selects the encoding from the header.
